Merten Designs started the same way a lot of good ideas do, by needing a part that didn’t exist or didn’t quite fit right. What began as designing and printing parts for my own projects turned into something I wanted to offer to others who run into the same problem.

A lot of the work comes down to recreating parts that are no longer made, improving designs that could work better, or building something entirely new from scratch. Whether it starts with an existing part, a rough idea, or just a problem that needs solving, the goal is always to end up with something that actually works in the real world.

Most of my background comes from hands-on work and figuring things out as I go. From 3D scanning to CAD modeling to final prints, everything is done with a focus on fit, function, and durability. The end result is not just something that looks good on a screen, but something you can actually use and rely on.

This isn’t about mass production or one-size-fits-all parts. Every project is different, and I approach it that way by taking the time to understand what you need and making sure the final result does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
